  his bank is so far behind the times if I could give no stars or negative stars I would do it. I bought a car at Drivers Way and they financed it via Independent Bank. It took 3 months to get a payment book and I had to complain to Drivers Way to get them them to help to get Independent Bank to send me a payment book. Plus as of today May 30th, 2011 this bank has no way of paying your car payment online. They don't have the ability to do any online banking. This is still so amazing to me that I will type it again. Independent Bank doesn't have the technology to take payments or handle banking via the internet. Run from this bank. Never ever deal with this bank. Its the biggest joke in the US. It doesn't help they are in Tennessee. I live in the deep south but many of Tennessee based companies are terribly outdated and Independent is the worst of them all.

  Worst experience ever dealing with a bank. Very bad customer service, no one knows whats going on, one representative will tell you one thing and the other will say something completely different. I had automatic payments going to them from my bank of America account, for whatever reason there was a glitch in their system and the payments did not go through, next thing I know i come back from a trip to find my car was repo'd. to make things worst the repo fee was 900.00 for a 4 mile tow to the lot. The rep I was dealing with acknowledged the glitch, offered an apology but said there was nothing she can do since the car was already repo'd

  Always have a great experience on each visit. The customer service is good and the VP Mr. Moore, is always available and welcoming to discuss my banking needs.

  Poor customer service. They said my loan payoff was pending when funds were already removed from my account. Do not get a loan from them.
